David E. Black, DDS

Dr. Black received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University in 1971. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Roanoke Dental Society. In addition, he is active in many civic and church organizations and was co-founder of the dental division of the free Clinic of the Roanoke Valley. Dr. Black lives in Vinton with his wife, Barbara. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, boating , church work and family activities.

Dr. Black is a Pankey trained dentist. Pankey-trained dentists are taught how to treat their patients as individuals, how to do complete examinations, how to take enough time to listen and answer questions fully, and how to create a practice that reflects their own personal values.

Sarah E. Kandrac, DDS

Dr. Kandrac grew up in Ashland, VA, the oldest of five siblings. She received her BS in Biology from William & Mary, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond. While a dental student, she was selected for membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Recognized for her efforts in the Mission of Mercy (MOM) Projects, Dr. Kandrac is dedicated to supporting local communities. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, rock climbing, reading, and photography.

Dr. Kandrac believes taht everyone deserves a smile to be proud of! She is committed to providing excellent care in a comfortable environment, and it is very important to her that every patient feel at home. With her on the team, we are now able to offer more services to our patients that were previously referred out.

Dr. Kandrac is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, the American Association of Women Dentists, and the Piedmont Dental Society. She is very excited to be a part of the Blue Ridge Dental Group team and looks forward to serving the Roanoke and Vinton communities.
